Our Message To You

We just wanted to say… We don’t know each other yet, but we already have great respect and admiration for you. Your courage and selflessness are pretty amazing, and we want you to know that we are looking to raise a child in a home filled with love, fun, and warmth. If you want to be a part of all our lives, we welcome an open adoption and this child will know how very loved they are by you, right from the start. We have hoped to start our family for a long time, and are thankful you are considering us. Chad was adopted as an infant and we believe his experiences will help us to raise a child with openness and a strong sense of identity that knows how incredibly loved they are right from the very beginning, in no small part due to the loving decisions you make for them. Our dream is to provide a child with a warm and happy home and we look forward to our journey together. Much love, Chad and Stacy

Our Story

We met in elementary school but started dating in high school. It’s an odd version of the high school sweetheart story… our first date was after a football game when Chad heated up a day-old pizza on the engine of his truck and drove us to have a picnic a Meijer parking lot. It wasn’t the stuff romantic movies are made of, but we were crazy about each other and now we’ve been together 16 years and married for 5. We went to college in different cities and really grew as individuals during that time, but once we graduated and started our careers we knew it was time to begin our happily ever after!

Our Family & Friends

We have the best family and friends! Weekends are often spent at Stacy’s parents’ house swimming at the lake or hanging out with our group of friends and their children. We always look forward to holidays when we get together with our extended family and have big dinners with friends. Chad is an only child and Stacy has an older brother, so we both have very close-knit, small families.

Our Values

We are both very passionate about education. Right from the beginning, we value the idea of spending as much time as possible reading, learning and playing with young children. We also believe it is so important that children are provided with every opportunity to receive a good education and learn about things that are of interest to them later on, whether it’s through a trade school, certificate programs or university.

Our Home

We have a cozy home that is warm and inviting. We live on almost ten acres, so there is a lot of room to run and play! We also have three friendly barn cats and six chickens that provide us with fresh brown eggs. Many of our neighbors are also good friends and we trade our eggs for their fresh vegetables and fruit they grow in their gardens. There are often kids playing out in our neighbor’s yards and everyone is welcoming.

Our Likes

We love to spend time outdoors and enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming and just hanging out with our friends and critters. Chad has a golf cart we like to ride on around our property and the neighborhood, “zooming” around with our little dog Pookie. We also really enjoy watching movies and cooking together.

Our Careers

Chad is an ASE Master Certified Automotive and Heavy Equipment Mechanic with Consumers Energy. He repairs the bucket trucks, fleet vehicles and a lot of the equipment the electric and gas crews need to keep the power on. Stacy is an Ultrasound Technologist and uses ultrasound to image a patient’s organs to try and figure out what is causing their symptoms, like kidney stones or blood clots. Stacy also performs ultrasound exams to evaluate babies before they’re born to ensure they are healthy. Chad works full time, and thanks to Chad’s hard work and income, Stacy will be able to stay at home more after placement.
